Article Marketing
Write a few articles that are related to what you want to promote, the article usually has to be 250-500 words long. Once you have written the article you will have to submit it to various article directories who will give it exposure to their readership. Make sure that you give the reader a way to contact you, you can leave the web address to your website at the end of the article.
Forum Marketing
There are various communities online that you can use to promote just about any product you want to sell, Whether you want to sell plants or acne products there is likely to be a forum where people want a solution, or some sort of help or problem solved.
Similar to article writing forums will usually alow you to leave some contact details within your post to any questions you respond to, or any questions you want to post. A good tip is to build a relationship with other members bombarding members with your promotions is frowned upon and can get you banned.
Blog submissions
A very popular way to advertise a product for free is also to search the internet for blogs that relate to what you want to promote. Just like forums there are a countless amount of blogs that relate to multiple topics, again writing a quality blog comment is the best way to make comments.
Paid advertising
This is probably not what most people want hear, Paid advertising? There is a misconception that working on line should ony be done for free, which is quite frankly ludicrous. Paying other websites to send you customers can make you a lot of money at home if done properly. The most common type of online advertising is Pay Per Click, as the name suggests you pay an advertising network for each click on your ad they send you. The biggest paid advertising networks are Google, Yahoo and MSN.
